Minick Interiors is pleased to welcome Caitlin Reid to the team of bridal consultants.
Caitlin brings a taste of elegance with a touch a modern style to the table with her experience in china sales but especially what she learned from the women of her family. As the granddaughter of the late Clifton and Ella Pryor Reid of Americus, Caitlin has learned the style and art of southern charm, especially from her grandmother. “I never got the incredible opportunity to meet my grandmother, but I did have the chance to live in the house that she turned into a home where she raised my daddy, Jim Reid. My grandmother loved to entertain guests and would also cater for weddings, so during the time I lived in the family farmhouse, I discovered all of her dishes and table designs. Let me tell you, the woman knew how to throw a sophisticated party with a splash of southern charm. I think that’s where I got my love for food and entertaining”.
Caitlin has recently graduated from the University of Georgia with a Bachelors of Science in Family and Consumer Sciences in Dietetics. Caitlin’s degree fits her love for food, health, and entertaining because with it she learned the basics of home economics, consumer foods and journalism, and nutrition and dietetics. Combined with her degree, Caitlin also has experience with bridal registry and china sales, which she received from working at Mary Baldwin Gifts in Americus, Georgia.
As a native of Americus, Caitlin is thrilled to be back in her hometown. “I love Americus. There is nothing quite like this small town and the people here. That’s why I am so excited to be working in one of the town’s most well-known shops because now I can give back to Americus what it has given me: a home. And what better way to do that then to help dress up a family dinner table!”
